ThemeVision LLC is pleased to announce that Indiana University School of Informatics senior, Ginger White, has been named the recipient of the inaugural ThemeVision Scholarship, an award given to an outstanding minority student in the school’s Media Arts & Science program who exhibits an interest in new media.
White, an African-American senior in the Media Arts & Science program, maintains a 3.94 GPA and has opted to commence the masters program in Human Computer Interaction concurrent with her last semester in the undergraduate Media Arts & Science program. Originally from Indianapolis, White attended Northwest High School prior to starting her undergraduate studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
This is the first year that ThemeVision LLC, a group that provides trial consulting, graphic design, and opinion research services to law firms, businesses, and government, has sponsored the scholarship. However, according to Dennis Stolle, president and founder of the organization, it will not be the last.
“Students in the Media Arts & Science program are often interested in animations, interactive electronic presentations, the streamlined presentation of complex data, and other new and emerging media – all of which are consistent with the work that ThemeVision does,” Stolle remarked. “Minority students, notably African-American women, have historically been underrepresented in this area of work, which is why we are committed to providing these scholarships and will continue to support students in the years to come.”
ThemeVision is an indirect, wholly-owned, non-legal subsidiary of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Through its team of social-science Ph.D.s and other professionals, the organization provides litigation consulting services to businesses and law firms throughout the country. The overarching goal of ThemeVision’s work is to reduce the risks and uncertainties of litigation by informing case strategies with empirical data and social-scientific analyses. Its services include mock hearings and bench trials, focus group research, jury simulation research, community attitude surveys, demonstrative exhibit development and testing, animations, trial theme development, and jury selection.
