Dr. Christina Studebaker Speaks about the Challenges Facing Female Litigators

Dr. Christina Studebaker, vice-president of ThemeVision LLC, and Annamarie Daley, a partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s, organized a roundtable discussion for the ABA Women of the Section of Litigation conference that was held in Chicago November 11-13. The session focused on “Meeting the Challenges of Being a Female Litigator: Can We Get Past the Stereotypes?” The discussion examined gender norms and stereotypes, implicit bias, impression management techniques and other techniques to help female litigators effectively communicate to jurors and judges, collaborate and/or supervise fellow trial team members, and develop client relationships. The discussion was co-moderated by the Honorable Alison Conlon of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.
