Designed and administered a large-sample mock juror survey of adult residents of Long Island. ThemeVision assisted the defense in a trial involving a public nuisance claim against a large retail corporation. The online survey featured the development and presentation of a written case summary that provided key facts and corresponding arguments for both sides. Analyses revealed links between mock jurors’ demographics, attitudes, and beliefs on one hand and their judgments about the case on the other. Our final report conveyed the community’s perception of the strength of the defense’s case, the size of a potential damage award, and a statistical a profile of the prototype “unfavorable” juror.
