Demonstratives: Summary Evidence
FRE rule 1006 permits the use of “a summary, chart, or calculation to prove the content of voluminous writings, recordings, or photographs that cannot be conveniently examined in court.”
Simply put, demonstrative exhibits can be used to summarize otherwise voluminous evidence (i.e., a chart showing a relevant information contained within a document).
ThemeVision can help creatively prepare visual summaries that effectively and persuasively depict information in ways that oral testimony alone cannot.
Common Summaries include:
- Spreadsheets
- Accounting Records
- Statements
- Invoices
- Payments
- Expenditures
- Costs and Expenses
- Telephone Call Logs
